STEVE MILES·FRIDAY, AUGUST 2, 2019
Seeders Puzzle Reboot, arrives amongst the multitude of 2D platformers available for Switch,at this moment in time. In this particular adventure, you play as a skateboarder whose skateboard park is under threat from a company ready to demolish it to the ground forever. You and your friends decide, therefore,to seek a solution by getting into the company building, seizing the paperwork and then destroying the documents,so any traces of future development on their beloved park is lost forever. Of course, this task isn’t going to be easy, and what entails is a platformer experience with 100 puzzles to solve, where precision movement and a problem solving attitude is vital to get to the finish, and save the day!

Graphics for starters are small yet animated well, and more importantly for the quest in hand, controls feel tight and not loose enough for you to quickly fall off ledges and allowance for good timing and positioning. Every area of each location will need careful planning, and trial and error on your behalf with switches to press, blocks and planks to move about, and doors, sensors and elevators to test you. Luckily with these controls, which are just move and jump, the X button acts as a “reset”to start at the beginning of each area, should you make a mistake. Phone box savepoints are frequently scattered around most screens, thus at least, allowing a slight bit of respite between areas of puzzles which can be generally head scratching and quite tricky to solve and get right.

There is a pleasant soundtrack throughout the game, and puzzled bonus hats to find and unlock, which are completely optional of course, and at least offer replay value. Co-Op allows 2 players to play the game with additional puzzles to play, and is a nice option to have included. Overall, this is a tricky but well developed game for platformers who like the more puzzles than exploration and precision type of game. There is plenty to do and plenty to progress through over the length of this adventure, and it comes recommended with its tight controls, and cryptic dilemmas that is overall, challenging and addictive..
