Travel Mosaics

User Rating: 8.1

I don’t think there’s many pic-cross puzzle games that can come with as much polish as this game.

Carrying a very commendable amount of 100+ puzzles. Travel Mosaics cannot be accused of being light on content. Whether you like its subject matter of the French capital Paris, or not. This game will draw you in with its gorgeously colourful look and ambient music.

Players are given freedom to choose which puzzle they would like to pick. On selection, comes a grid with part of a picture or totally blank, depending on difficulty. Around the grid are clues as to where the player needs to “Fill in” a block or “X” it. So for example on a 5×5 grid,a clue of 1,3 would correctly been entered as fill 1, X ,fill 3 =5. Of course players also have to check the answer coincides with the clues above. Reads trickier but you soon get the hang of it once you start playing.

Getting the lines of the picture puzzle builds up a bonus points score and to the side of each puzzle and number of special abilities and multipliers.

As you progress, you can unlock various information on the City of Paris, collecting souvenirs as you go. Soon becoming an involved tourist type in a virtual round trip of the capital, with the game your kind of tour guide.

Really that’s about as much as you can say with this game. It’s a beautifully presented piece of software that impresses with its many little polished touches. The music is wonderfully relaxing and fits in with the French flavour of the game. Graphically very colourful and vibrant, and more importantly.. Each puzzle very addictive!

Great game to relax to and highly recommended if you’re a fan of these kind of mosaic puzzle types..

Thanks to Jetdogs Studios for the code.

Spent over 40 years gaming and played plenty of titles over plenty of platforms. Handheld consoles seemed a natural progression with their portability and ease of use, and with technology forever advancing. It’s now great to play titles I used to play all those years ago…on the go! Switch and Vita are my two main favourites and any title with dark themes ..RPGs, first person or rogue-like my main interest…

Have your say!
